Happy New Year 2025! I hope everyone had a beauti Happy New Year 2025! I hope everyone had a beautiful time welcoming the new year. I wanna share my new year resolution with you. My resolution is to embrace the integration of yin and yang—dark and light—both intertwining into wholeness. This is an ancient philosophy from Tao about the balance of yin and yang, and I want to embody this philosophy more deeply to understand polarity and unity. To me, the dragon represents the energy that moves up and down through the Earth—from the North Pole to the South Pole—and within our bodies, traveling between the sacrum and the crown of the head along the spine. Like in this painting, I aim to navigate polarity and understand its cycles, which come with the changing seasons. This year, we enter the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac. I’ve been researching ancient Japanese mythology about the Dragon Snake gods, which is believed to embody the same energy. Both are representations of energy that moves between worlds. It feels like a beautiful way to start the year by connecting with this unifying energy. This infinite dragon circulates peaceful, compassionate energy around Guanyin. We can always return to this inner sanctuary, especially when the external world becomes chaotic from time to time. Inspired by the powerful symbolism of dragons, it represents the life force of all things. Connected to the deity Umashiashikabihikoji, who deified the essence of life, this script bridges the physical and spiritual worlds, embodying energy and divine flow.
