While creating this piece, Yao Mikami connected deeply with feminine energy, allowing the form to emerge naturally—something universal, contemplative, and infused with the sacred power of creation. Painted with indigo pigment and egg tempera, Yao shaped the pattern directly with her hands and fingertips, touching the canvas with intention and presence.

This tactile process allows the artwork to carry the ancient warmth and purity of natural materials. Indigo’s deep blue reflects inner waters—mysterious, emotional, life-giving—while the soft luminosity of egg tempera adds a serene, meditative glow.
